“I would rather live a challenging life by your side, than live an easy life alone.”

A short documentary film following the relationship of an American Jew and an Arab Israeli Muslim over the course of a year and a half. The film chronicles the ups and downs of the relationship throughout conversations between the subjects; each of whom come from completely different backgrounds. As the relationship progresses the couple gains a deeper understanding and appreciation of one another and their respective cultures. Their lives begin to further intertwine throughout a series of meetings between their families, as they navigate through the somewhat unconventional relationship together. The camera acts as a diary; that includes the audience in the personal and intimate journey of the filmmaker, documenting the unfolding events as the characters themselves are experiencing them.
