This project emerged from a formal and material research that centered on stretching wood bark to extreme situations and devising new manipulations of the material and production method. The project carries out a technological material research that combines a soft material (sponge) with a hard material (wood husks) in three-dimensional press molds, while bringing industrial production methods to the domestic worktop. The research led to the creation of a seat that offers a new seating experience, a softness masked by the rigidity of the material, and a new aesthetic that emerged from the process of pressing both materials together.
