In his final project, Ido Ferber chose to create traditional ceramic-ware in a new technique. The technique is based on three guiding principles: working from a slab of clay as opposed to wheel-thrown, using glaze as the exclusive adhesive medium, and incorporating the kiln as an auxiliary device in the creation process. These restrictions lend themselves to the creation of a unique design language that hints to the work process and offers the viewer a glimpse into the world of the maker and the hidden life of the object.
