The desire to seek a new means to use ceramics set the tone of my research as well as the need to explore exactly where technology could lead us in the search for new materials. How these materials interact with mans’ expectations and the role of nature in defining their capabilities and characteristics.
By initiating  the Aera project  I developed a radical process of harnessing micro-waves to create porous ceramics with which I was able to develop a sustainable echo friendly cooling system,  created out of completely natural products. Ceramic tiles that can transfer and cool air though their porosity and at the same time provide a hydroponic environment for moss and lichen  which in turn provide insulation from both heat and cold.
