Carousel - movement in the circle of life

The presented objects are a part of my final project – “Carousel – movement in the circle of life”.

From the first sight they look shiny, glossy  and remind us of an amusement during the carnival.

But a closer look shows us a grotesque story behind.

Carousels are rotating and the story repeats through time and distance.

In my project i propose to look at our lifes as on the carousel, where each of us  can decide to move along with it, to stand outside, or even to move to another carousel.

The carousels are made in different techniques and composed of several parts. The main medium – glass, with its fragility, transparency and opacity, was chosen as a metaphor for  the imaginary world that people build for themselves.
