Change Bench
Material: clay, metal rods.
Technique: Construction of cardboard making models, Preparation of pressing molds from plaster, Manufacturing pallets in roll and pressing into molds.
A ceramic seating system composed of modular and rustic units placed on a metal frame that enables a change in the order of the units within it. With each unit being used for a different function and enabling adaptation to the dynamic life cycle in which we live while adhering to aesthetics and design.
In the design process I refer to a dynamic world in which things change at a pace and so do the needs of human beings. The main emphasis on design was on maximum functionality for the client and the intended environment, as well as on the desire to create seating areas in public Sami spaces, suitable for both interior and exterior.
The bench is composed of three to four ceramic units that are intended for sitting, and in addition, variable units for storage and vegetation. Each ceramic unit can be moved and changed within the frame, thus enabling optimal adjustment for the customer’s needs.
