132

Project “132” examines the balance of  power in gender structures in the domestic and public spheres.
I chose to design a typical domestic environment, solely made of single color ceramic material, in the purpose of emphasizing the center role of the domestic sphere in the molding of inner gender definitions.
The scenery is composed of two chairs, a table, a carpet and cacti.
The ceramic exhibit is accompanied by a video of a woman operating in the scenery. The woman uses symbolic ceramic objects such as platform shoes, a fan, watering can and a mop.
The eerie looking objects create an imaginary sterile situation ment to challenge common social perceptions.
