RECONNECTING TWO SIDE OF THE CITY
After studying how the political borders inside the city – the Green Line, the Israeli Wall and the Jerusalem Municipality boundary – set different spaces up, the project wants to reconnect two sides of the city that both occupy a part of East Jerusalem but just one is in front of the Wall.
Focusing on the area among Shu’afat Village and Shu’afat Refugee Camp, the main concept of the project is to overcome the barriers offering a new kind of architecture which is hosting an articulated program of functions that reconnected the two sides along an East-West direction.
